VEX IQ Robotics Competition™ (ES) Japan National Championship: Level Up™ - VEX IQ Elementary School Division

Hello everyone,

Thank you for visiting the event page for the upcoming VEX IQ Robotics Competition™ (ES) Japan National Championship, scheduled for February 20-21, 2027.

This National Championship is intended for teams whose primary activities take place in Japan. Only teams registered in Japan are eligible to participate in this event. Please note that even if a team has a Japanese team number, teams whose primary activities are based outside of Japan are subject to the Code of Conduct and General Game Rules violations and may not be able to participate in the National Championship. Team Withdrawal Refund policies apply.
Registration for this event does not guarantee participation in the National Championship.
To participate in the National Championship, teams must earn a Qualification Spot by competing in an Approved Tournament held in Japan.

1. About National Championship Qualification

The VEX Robotics Competition community in Japan continues to grow each year, and the 2026-27 season represents another step forward in establishing a competition structure centered around the National Championship.
Beginning with the 2026-27 season, Approved Tournaments in Japan will be conducted in accordance with the rules and standards established by the Global Robotics & Science Foundation (GRSF).
Multiple Approved Tournaments will be held throughout the season. Every Approved Tournament will be assigned Qualification Spots to the National Championship, and the number of spots allocated to each event will be determined by GRSF based on the number of registered teams in Japan.
Approved Tournaments are not simply practice events. They are official competitions where teams compete under official rules and strive to qualify for the National Championship.
Please note that Scrimmages, Workshops, and Skills Only Events do not award Qualification Spots to the National Championship.

2. Double Qualification

If a team that has already qualified for the National Championship earns an additional Qualification Spot at another Approved Tournament, that team is considered Double Qualified.
In such cases, the Qualification Spot will be passed down to the next eligible team according to the official qualification criteria.

3. Student-Centered Policy

VEX Robotics Competition places a strong emphasis on the Student-Centered philosophy.
Robot design, construction, programming, and competition strategy must be led by students. Coaches, parents, and mentors are encouraged to support the learning process while allowing students to make decisions and solve problems independently.
Violations of the Student-Centered Policy may affect judging results, award eligibility, or other aspects of participation.

4. Consent Form

All participants, including students, coaches, parents, and volunteers, must submit a Consent Form prior to the event.
The Consent Form covers important topics including safety, liability, image rights, and participation eligibility.
Participants under the age of 18 must have parental approval.
Teams with incomplete or missing Consent Forms will not be permitted to participate.

5. Volunteers

To support event operations, each team is required to provide at least one volunteer.
Volunteers may include coaches, parents, family members, friends, alumni, or other supporters.
As the event approaches, the Event Partner will contact volunteers regarding their assigned roles.

6. Engineering Notebook

The Engineering Notebook is an important part of the judging process for all tournaments.
The Digital Engineering Notebook must be submitted by Friday, February 12, 2027, 18:00 Japan Standard Time.
After the submission deadline, the Event Partner (EP) will download all submitted Engineering Notebooks and distribute them to the judges for evaluation. Engineering Notebooks uploaded after the deadline cannot be reviewed by the judges.

7. Entry Fee

Please refer to the event page for payment instructions and deadlines.
Teams on the Waiting List will not be charged an entry fee. Payment will only be required after a team earns a Qualification Spot and is moved to the list of confirmed participants.

8. Official Rules

All teams are responsible for reviewing the latest Game Manual and official Q&A before attending the event.
Approved Tournaments and the National Championship will be conducted according to international standards and official competition rules.

2027年2月20日-21日に開催予定のVEX IQ Robotics Competition™ (ES) Japan National Championshipのイベントページをご覧いただきありがとうございます。

本大会は日本国内を活動拠点とするチームを対象としたナショナルチャンピオンシップです。日本で登録されたチームのみが本大会へ参加することができます。
日本のチーム番号を持っている場合でも、主な活動拠点が日本国外にあるチームは、行動規範および一般ゲームルール違反の対象となる場合があり、ナショナルチャンピオンシップに参加できない可能性があります。チーム辞退時の返金ポリシーは適用されます。
本イベントへの登録は、ナショナルチャンピオンシップへの参加を保証するものではありません。
ナショナルチャンピオンシップへ出場するためには、国内で開催される公式認定トーナメントに参加し、出場資格を獲得する必要があります。

1. ナショナルチャンピオンシップへの出場について

日本国内のVEX Robotics Competitionコミュニティは年々成長を続けており、今シーズンはナショナルチャンピオンシップを中心とした競技体系がさらに整備されるシーズンとなります。
2026-27シーズンより、日本国内の公式認定トーナメントは、Global Robotics & Science Foundation（GRSF）が定めるルールおよび基準に基づいて運営されます。
今シーズンは国内で複数の公式認定トーナメントが開催される予定です。すべての公式認定トーナメントにはナショナルチャンピオンシップへの出場枠が設定されており、国内の登録チーム数に応じて、各大会に割り当てられる出場枠数はGRSFによって決定されます。
公式認定トーナメントは単なる練習会ではありません。各チームが公式ルールのもとで競い合い、ナショナルチャンピオンシップ出場を目指す公式競技会です。
なお、スクリメージ、ワークショップ、スキルズオンリーイベントなどにはナショナルチャンピオンシップへの出場枠は設定されません。

2. ダブルクオリフィケーションについて

すでにナショナルチャンピオンシップへの出場資格を獲得したチームが、別の公式認定トーナメントで再び出場資格を獲得した場合、そのチームはダブルクオリフィケーション（Double Qualification）となります。
その場合、出場枠は次の資格要件を満たしたチームへ繰り下げて授与されます。

3. Student-Centered Policy

VEX Robotics Competitionは、生徒主体（Student-Centered）の活動を重視しています。
ロボットの設計、製作、プログラミング、競技戦略は、生徒自身が主体となって行う必要があります。コーチ、保護者、メンターは学習を支援する立場として関わることが求められます。
Student-Centered Policyへの違反は、ジャッジングや受賞資格に影響を与える場合があります。

4. Consent Form（同意書）

すべての参加者（生徒、コーチ、保護者、ボランティアを含む）は、事前にConsent Form（同意書）を提出する必要があります。
Consent Formには、安全管理、免責事項、肖像権、参加資格などに関する重要な内容が含まれています。
18歳未満の参加者については、保護者による承認が必要です。
必要なConsent Formが提出されていない場合、チームは大会へ参加することができません。

5. ボランティア

大会運営のため、各チームより最低1名のボランティア提供をお願いしております。
ボランティアは、コーチ、保護者、ご家族、ご友人、卒業生など、どなたでもご参加いただけます。
大会が近づきましたら、運営本部より担当いただく役割についてご連絡いたします。

6. エンジニアリングノートブック

エンジニアリングノートブックは、すべてのトーナメントにおいて審査の重要な評価対象です。
デジタル・エンジニアリングノートブックは、2027年2月12日（金）18:00（日本標準時間）までに提出してください。
提出期限後、イベントパートナー（EP）が提出されたすべてのエンジニアリングノートブックをダウンロードし、審査のためジャッジへ配布します。提出期限後にアップロードされたエンジニアリングノートブックは、ジャッジによる審査の対象となりません。

7. 参加費

参加費のお支払い方法および期限については、イベントページ内の案内に従ってください。
なお、出場資格待ち（Waiting List）に登録されているチームには参加費は請求されません。参加費のお支払いは、出場資格を獲得し、正式参加チームへ移行した後となります。

8. 公式ルールについて

すべてのチームは、最新のゲームマニュアルおよび公式Q&Aを確認したうえで大会へ参加してください。
公式認定トーナメントおよびナショナルチャンピオンシップは、国際基準に基づいて運営されます。
